This year there were eight national champs eligible to step into the box: Bill and Nancy Burke of Kentucky, Richard Fujita of Ohio, John Seroczynski from Indiana, Doug and Andy Statt from Ohio, David Roberts from Kentucky, and Zack Wilson from Ohio.
As always, it was a real battle to the end. The final three, Doug and Andy Statt, and John Seroczynski, nailed the first 12 out of 13 targets. With two casts to go, it was John and Andy knotted at 98! When the smoke cleared John had perfects on both final casts and won the event with a score of 98 Points. He has now won this event 4 times; three of the past four years and once at age 18. Marion Garber from the Toledo Casting Club is the only other person to have ever won this event more than once (twice).
