How long have you been casting? Close to 70 years.
Where do you practice? I started casting at the GGACC, but have spent most of my life practicing with the Columbus Club. Now I only practice distance on an athletic field or practice accuracy when I go to tournaments.
Favorite fish to catch: Tarpon. They're my most recent and elusive adversary.
Favorite rod: The rod that's working best for me "today". It takes me about three years to get used to a rod, and then a point comes when I find out one I think will be better.
Favorite reel: The one John Field gave me at Dundee. A Waterworks Purist. If they only made them bigger!
Advice for new casters: Join a local FFF or ACA club because it takes an experienced eye to help you correct your faults. Too many people like to catch "easy fish"; there is no easy way but by practicing and discipline.
Philosophy relating to casting: Start casting and fishing as young as possible and you will enjoy continuing them for a lifetime. You can also trade them off in their proper season.
